Up your insta game with new IGTV and Boomerang Features 21 Jan 2020 This just in! Today we have heard about a couple of new features across Instagram including changes to Boomerang and IGTV. Here's a quick rundown: New Boomerang Modes Instagram recently introduced new ways to make Boomerangs with the Instagram Camera. Three new modes - Duo, SloMo, and Echo, and the ability to trim your Boomerangs - giving you more creative ways to share your artist story on Instagram. HOW IT WORKS Once you record your Boomerang, you’ll be able to choose between four different types: Classic: the classic Boomerang everyone knows and loves [NEW] SlowMo: slows down your Boomerang to capture each detail [NEW] Echo: creates a double vision effect, enhancing your Boomerang [NEW] Duo: both speeds up and slows down your Boomerang, adding a textured effect Once you’ve got your shot and have selected which type of Boomerang you want, you can edit the length with new trimming tools. Preview your Boomerang, clip when you want it to start and end, and share to your Story. Easy! New IGTV Feed Upload Instagram has also rolled out a simplified way for Creators to upload video content to both Feed and IGTV. You can now upload videos longer than 60 seconds to IGTV in the same way you’d upload videos to your Feed. To make things even simpler, they've also removed the IGTV home icon. HOW IT WORKS · Click on the “+” in your Feed and select a video to upload. · Follow the prompt to “Share as” a Short Video in Feed or a Long Video in IGTV. (Note!! If you want to post a video longer than 1 minute to feed, it will be trimmed to 60 seconds.) · Select “Long Video” to post to IGTV. · Select a thumbnail to use as your cover image. · Go through the standard upload process for IGTV videos (e.g. add title, description, add to a series, post a preview, post to Facebook, etc.) · Click “Post” For both the new Boomerang features and the IGTV Upload in Feed feature, be sure to update to the latest version of Instagram on your smartphone. Happy Sharing!
