Our Feature Album March | Tara Simmons's Show Me Spirit 'Til The End 02 Apr 2020 Dive into our feature album for this month, the late Tara Simmons’ Show Me Spirit ‘til the End. An amazing exhibition of Tara’s prodigious talent, this 11-track album of contemporary electro-synth pop perfectly reflects the same creativity, collaboration and kindness that characterised her life before it was tragically cut short by breast cancer. The album is a sonic journey, exploring powerfully emotional content while still maintaining a playful attitude - just as Tara would. Co-produced by Tara’s longtime collaborator and close friend, Yanto Browning, the album also features contributions from a fine selection of Brisbane music icons, including, Sam Hales (The Jungle Giants), Megan Washington, Danny Harley (The Kite String Tangle), Konstantin Kersting, Gav Parry (YesYou), Kate Miller-Heidke, Dean McGrath (Hungry Kids of Hungary, Rolls Bayce) and Chris O'Neill to name a few. Show Me Spirit ‘til the End is the final demonstration of Tara’s impossibly prolific talent that led her to release two albums, three EPs and a handful of remixes across her career. Not satisfied with these achievements, her unwavering passion for music also guided her to tour as frontwoman and vocalist for electronic outfit YesYou, supporting the likes of MsMr, Neon Indian, Midnight Juggernauts and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Despite her distance, the album serves as an extraordinary goodbye from Tara. She leaves behind a mighty legacy, a discography that has had impact on national and global music industries alike, and an extraordinary final offering we’re enormously thankful for. Listen HERE.
