Friday 🀝 our favourite independent releases this week.

Let's dive in with new tracks from S.A.B, THE BLSSM, faery, Robbie Mortimer, and Lara Andallo!

‍

KEEP IT A BUCK - S.A.B

South-African, now Meanjin/Brisbane based rapper S.A.B is back with new mellow track 'KEEP IT A BUCK'. The track details his challenges with Australian recognition in an industry where artists often reject individual success as arrogant and deplorable, with tender lyrics and mellow flow. With the release of 'KEEP IT A BUCK', S.A.B will kick off 30 mini music videos in 30 days across his social media.

funny faces - THE BLSSM

The tender yet tough alt-pop THE BLSSM is back with 'funny faces', encapsulating a melodramatic dance floor - it's an anthemic heart-ache for moments without band-aids. THE BLSSM exudes an effortless energy, both endearing and born of a wild but vulnerable punk spirit. With co-signs from BROCKHAMPTON, Courtney Love, Charli XCX + more, you know you're in for a treat.

NOTΒ RN! - Lara Andallo

‍

Filipino-Australian popstress Lara Andallo is showing a more sensual side in the trap-inspired track 'NOT RN!'.
β€œThis was the first song I wrote when I got back home to Australia after being away for a few months. I was still in the headspace of not wanting to deal with my problems. I know everyone feels this way at some point, and the hook lyrics are really just my inside thoughts. I wanted them to be something anyone could chant" said Lara. Catch her at Souled Out Festival across Australia this month!

Blow the Speakers - Robbie Mortimer

‍

High octane country rocker Robbie Mortimer has just dropped 'Blow the Speakers'. A high energy country anthem that follows the dreams of a country kid from his first guitar to his first car to hitting the back roads with the radio pumping as he searches for the soundtrack to his life – the songs that will one day evoke the memories from this moment in time.

‍

‍

faery - ostara

‍

The wistful faery has released 'ostara' a dreamy psychedelic love song inspired by the Spring Equinox- which will have you feeling sexy, velvety and sensual. It’s spiritual pop, ancient future fusion and indie that drips with psychedelia. It reverberates with intention - each song is crafted around a healing solfegio frequency, masked within dreamy folk pop.
