We're entering the music label business!

As some of you might have guessed, after seeing our teasers across social media in the last week...

We’ve ventured into EXCITING new territory, adding GYROrecords, a premium independent label to its ranks and celebrating its first signing Meanjin sensation, Yb.

GYROrecords will put the full force of the GYROstream distribution, A&R, GYROdigital and GYROpr together - championing carefully selected GYROstream artists and bolstering them into the next chapter of their careers. GYROrecords is the next step in GYROstream's evolution. As our company expands and advances our focus will continue to be on the heart and soul of our business, GYROstream distribution, and supporting all of our GYROfam - with an emphasis on building AU/NZ artists careers across streaming.

GYROstream A&R and Streaming Partnerships Manager Benjamin James says the choice to bring on Yb. as the initial GYROrecords artist was an easy one. "Yb. is a brilliant artist with a pure soul that has created a powerful EP," he says. "It's incredibly satisfying to be able to enter into a partnership that reflects both our core values as a business and his as an artist."

Yb.’s track 'Change Your Mind' received a first play on triple j’s Home and Hosed last week and has already landed in a bunch of playlists across DSPs including the cover of Spotify’s ‘Come Thru’.
