Ready to make your profile sing? With Instagram’s latest updates, you can now showcase your music in new ways on the platform.

Music On Profile

Music On Profile allows you to add a track from Instagram’s Audio Library to your profile. This song will appear below your bio, where visitors can listen to a 30-second clip. Whether you’re promoting a new hit or just sharing your current favourite song, this feature offers a fresh way to connect with your audience and set the tone for your profile.

How to Add Music to Your Profile

1. Edit Your Profile: Start by selecting “Edit profile” from your Profile tab.

2. Add Music: Tap on “Add music to your profile”.

3. Find Your Song: Search for your favourite track or explore the “For You” section.

4. Select and Customise: Choose the song you want and select a 30-second clip to feature on your profile.

Once you’ve added your chosen track, your audience can tap the play button to listen to the song clip right from your profile. They can also click on the song to discover more content featuring the track.

Music-First Stories

With the new "Music-First Stories" feature, users can share songs on Stories without needing a photo or video. A vinyl music sticker format also adds a nostalgic touch.

How it works

1. Tap “+” or swipe right on Home to begin creating a story

2. Open the gallery and select “Music” from the top toolbar

3. Search for and select a song from the music library

4. Tap the album to adjust the 15 second music clip, then tap “Done”

5. Add any other personal touches to your story

6. Share!
