What is Showcase
Showcase helps artists develop their audience by offering the flexibility to promote your new and existing catalog anytime via the apps home page - free & premium. Whether it's to celebrate a release anniversary or to capitalize on a right moment.
The in-app mobile banner appears at the top of the home page, where streaming starts on Spotify.

Direct from the ad, fans can ‘Save’ the promoted content directly to their library and or/ stream the promoted music from the Home Page. By tapping within the card, fans will go to the promoted release page to play, save or add your music to playlists.

Additionally, Showcase offers ways to create customised campaigns through unique headlines as well as a targeting to develop your audiences in your desired countries.
Release Eligibility - Who can use Showcase
Once an artist has access to their Spotify For Artists account, you can set up campaigns directly within the platform. Artists can use Showcase if they meet the following eligibility requirements;
- 1,000 streams in the last 28 days in at least one available target market
Eligible releases include;
- Album, Single or EP releases where the promoted artists ate the main artist
Setting Up Your Campaign
- Head to the Campaign tab within your Spotify For Artists
- Select ‘Showcase’ and Hit the ‘Create Campaign’ button on the right hand side.
- Choose your release to promote
- Select your payment method - Add your payment method here if not already added to the account
- Select the country you want to target your ads. You can only set up one target country per campaign. There are a couple of requirements that need to be met mentioned above.
- Confirm the release URI and Campaign Start Date
- Customise your ad’s headline.
- Next you have the option to customise your audience. Please note; you will need enough listeners in your selection criteria to meet campaign requirements. You will be prompted to continue adding audience groups until then via the targeting overview window. More tips below.
- Add your budget ($150 minimum per campaign)
- Review and schedule your campaign. You can make changes up to one day before your campaign’s scheduled start date.
